The Priorat is a land with character, where the villages and landscapes inseparably cast their spell on the visitor. The natural areas here have been wisely protected such that the hand of man has only intervened to sew and reap its best fruits: wine and olive oil.
Priorat has always been synonymous with wine. The two Denominations of Origin bestowed on wines from this region, Priorat and Montsant, speak volumes about the area. While "Priorat" is synonymous with "licorella", the treasure contained in its slate soils, "Montsant" alludes to a surprisingly strong and young wine.
After a century of silence, these hidden, isolated villages are the best places to discover some of the most renowned wines in the world.
